RÉSUMÉ & HISTORY

Jess (Maggi) Howes has been interested in the arts in general since she was a child. She could often be found drawing or painting, imagining elaborate stories for dolls and action figures, or designing buildings and towns with LEGO® building blocks.

Throughout her schooling, Jess continued to take the art classes that were offered and enjoyed learning about different media. When the time came to apply for college, she decided to try the graphic design field, as it would allow her to continue with art; but would include technology, which is the future. In December 2008, she gained a Bachelor in Fine Arts degree, Graphic Design concentration, from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

From November 2009 to November 2012, Jess was the Graphic Designer & Committee Support Specialist at the IBLCE International Office. IBLCE is a non-profit credentialing organization headquartered in Falls Church, VA.

Since April 2014, Jess Maggi is the Senior Marketing coordinator at theAmerican Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA), headquartered in Fredericksburg, VA. She supports the association's marketing function by providing assistance with graphic design, marketing, trade shows, and more, and serves as a point of contact for marketing-related questions and projects.

On the side, Jess is a freelance graphic designer for small companies that need affordable, professional marketing materials completed in a timely manner.
